The demand for Reparations by Africa and Africans in diaspora is a watershed in the ongoing dialogue between the peoples. of Mrican descent and the erstwhile Euro-American slavers and colonialists aimed at repairing the breech that was made through the mode and consequences of their intervention in our history. This is with the objective of de-mystifying the largely spurious perception about our contribution to worJd civilization and developments particularly in an international environment in which rich nations are predominantly of the Euro-American descent and the poor ones are predominantly of Mrican descent. And, to put into proper perspective, the historical, cultural, economic and political conditions in which stagnation in less developed nations is a consequence of the mode by which development has been achieved in the advanced nations. The gap between the two,' underlines the logic of the demand for restitution.
