dc.description.abstractThis report is an update of the briefing on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic that poses an unprecedented challenge to African economies as they entered their first recession in more than half a century presented to the Permanent Representatives Committee meeting held on 29th September 2021. In this respect, the brief report presents an updated assessment of the socio-economic impact of the COVID 19 pandemic on Africa and suggested strategic actions to assist Member States towards a stronger, resilient and sustainable economic recovery.en
