dc.description.abstractThis report details the Pan-African Union of Science and Technology (PUST)'s request for observer status with the OAU. Established in Brazzaville, Congo, during the First Congress of African Scientists in June 1987, PUST is a non-governmental international organization uniting African science and technology associations. Its membership includes ordinary members (African-based scientific and technological associations) and associate members (African organizations not based in Africa). PUST's core objectives are to coordinate the African scientific community, integrate science and technology into Africa's development, and mobilize the continent's creative and productive forces.en
