The Center for Linguistic and Historical Studies through Oral Tradition, was created in 1968 by UNESCO and transferred to the African Union Commission in 1974. Its main missions are the collection, safeguarding and popularization of African oral sources in order to promote African cultures for the benefit of African communities and their diaspora.

In this collection, you will find some reports of our activities, some of our publications since 1974 as well as audio and video files illustrating the work we are doing around oral sources programme.
