dc.description	Having been inaugurated in January 1952, the year 1960 is, therefore, the ninth year of activity of this Bureau, though the first under the change of title from the Inter-African Bureau for Epizootic Diseases (IBED) to the Inter-African Bureau for Animal Health (IBAH). This revised title was recommended by the Commission earlier in the year and accepted by its Member Governments and came into general use as from 1 July. Familiarity with the earlier title makes the change difficult to accept all at once but references to IBAH in lieu of IBED are gradually becoming more common.
