African common position on the review of the millennium declaration and the millennium development goals

Abstract

The African Union document on the Review of the Millennium Declaration and the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs): Towards an African Common Position is a follow up to the Draft Decision of the Heads of State and Government at the 4th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the African n Union (AU) in Abuja, Nigeria, held from '30- 31 January 2005. It was presented by the AU Commission at the 5th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the African Union held in Sirte, Libya, from 4- 5 July 2005 and was endorsed by the Heads of State and Government. It has since served as the Continent's contribution at the United Nations High Level Summit held in New York, United States of America, in September 2005
