Abstract

This communique endorses the report of the Chairperson of the African Union Commission on Somalia, and taking note of the briefing provided by the Special Representative of the Chairperson of the Commission and Head of the African Union Mission in Somalia , Ambassador Francisco Caetano Madeira on the situation in Somalia. In this communique,the African Union Peace and Security Council re-affirms the people of Somalia,Government of the AU's solidarity in supporting the elimination of Al Shabaab and promotion of peace, stability and reconciliation in the country.
