AU ECHO:The Africa we want;special issue for the 50th Anniversary of the OAU-AU,1963-2013

Abstract

The African Union (AU) and its predecessor the Organisation for African Unity (OAU) have reached a historical milestone of celebrating Fifty years on 25 May 2013. The 50th years of anniversary of the OAU-AU took place at the same time of the 21st Ordinary Session of the Summit of the African Union. In this respect, the summit discussion on Pan Africanism enabled Africa to engage in debates on the Africa wide Agenda 2063 to chart on the actions and strategies for the next five decades on the continent.
