Draft Executive Council Decisions on Modalities for Participation of the African Union in the G20 and Preliminary Priorities to be Pursued

Abstract

Assembly/AU/Dec.345(XVI) reaffirms the decision made in Kampala, Uganda that African countries chairing the African Union and NEPAD Heads of State and Government Orientation Committee will represent Africa at G20 Summits. The African Union Commission delegation will be part of the delegation led by the Chairperson of the African Union. The AU delegation will serve as the secretariat, responsible for preparing for the summit and coordinating Africa's position in order to ensure the implementation of commitments and decisions made during these summits.
