Report of the Continental ten-year review of the Addis Ababa Declaration on Population and Development in Africa beyond 2014 (AADPD)

Abstract

This report assesses the advancements made in fulfilling the commitments of the Addis Ababa Declaration on Population and Development in Africa, pinpointing areas that require attention and showcasing exemplary approaches amidst various challenges and emerging trends. The report also offers evidence-based recommendations to accelerate the fulfillment of AADPD pledges and leverage the demographic dividend. These efforts align with Agenda 2063 and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in the backdrop of prevailing global trends.
