Report of the Peace and Security Council of the African Union on its activities and the state of Peace and Security in Africa reporting period: January to December 2023

Abstract

The report is covering the period from 1 January to 31 December 2023 structured into two main sections. The first part details the activities undertaken by the PSC during the time of meetings, field missions, retreats, joint consultations, informal joint seminars, and other Union-related activities involving the PSC. The second part offers a thorough evaluation of governance, peace, and security across the continent, along with an analysis of the progress made in implementing decisions of the Assembly within the African Peace and Security Architecture (APSA) and the African Governance Architecture (AGA)
