African Commission on Nuclear Energy (AFCONE), established under the African Nuclear-Weapon-Free Zone Treaty (Treaty of Pelindaba), aims to promote nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation in Africa. AFCONE's legal framework comprises the Treaty itself, the Rules of Procedure for the Conference of State Parties, and the Rules of Procedure for the AFCONE Commission, ensuring structured governance and cooperation among member states.
