Abstract

This report presents the findings and conclusions from the First Congress of African Writers, held in Accra, Ghana, from November 6 to 11, 1989. Organized by the Secretary-General of the Organization of African Unity (OAU), the congress aimed to foster dialogue among African writers, promote cultural exchange, and address the challenges faced by authors in a rapidly changing political landscape.
