The Chairman informed the Working Group that the Council of Ministers of the Organization of African Unity, during its Fiftieth Ordinary Session held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, from July 17 to 22, 1989, reviewed and discussed the Secretary-General's report on hazardous wastes, as presented in Document CM/1562 (L). They subsequently adopted Resolution CM/Res.1225 (L), which was later endorsed by the Twenty-fifth Ordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government, convening from July 22 to 26, 1989 in Addis Ababa.
