Report of the Secretary General on the Fifth Ordinary Session of the Conference of Ministers of Information

Abstract

This introductory note summarizes the key outcomes of the 5th Ordinary Session of the Conference of African Ministers of Information, held in Abuja, Nigeria, from April 4-6, 1990. The session was preceded by meetings of the Pan-African News Agency (PANA) Intergovernmental Council (IGC) and the Intergovernmental Council for Communication in Africa (ICC), the latter serving as the executive arm for the Conference.
