This report details the implementation of Resolution CM/RES 1228 (L), which pertains to the Constituent Congress of the Pan-African Union of Science and Technology (PUST), held in Accra from January 29 to February 2, 1990. The report traces the origins of PUST back to the First Congress of African Scientists in Brazzaville in June 1987. During this congress, the "Brazzaville Declaration" was issued, committing the African scientific community to support the Lagos Plan of Action and the African Priority Programme for Economic Recovery.
