This report details Mali's role and participation in the context of the 1990 World Summit for Children, convened at the initiative of UNICEF and attended by global leaders, including Prime Minister of Canada, Presidents of Egypt, Mali, Mexico, and Prime Ministers of Pakistan and Sweden. This summit aimed to reaffirm political commitments to children's welfare at both national and international levels amidst the dire conditions faced by children in the third world, particularly Africa.
