This report is structured into three main parts,part one details the Conference of African Ministers responsible for Trade, held in Lusaka, Zambia (September 19-20, 1991), which served as a preparatory meeting for the Seventh Ministerial Meeting of the Group of 77 in Teheran (November 19-23, 1991). The Lusaka conference aimed to establish a substantive basis for negotiations between developing (Africa, Asia, Latin America) and developed countries within UNCTAD VIII. Part Two summarizes the proceedings and outcomes of UNCTAD VIII, which took place in Cartagena de Indias. Finally, Part Three provides an update on the OAU General Secretariat's preparations for the Sixth All-Africa Trade Fair, conducted in collaboration with host country Zimbabwe.
