Abstract

This report presents the final Act of the Ouagadougou International Symposium on the need and timelines for the African Humanitarian Initiative, held in Burkina Faso from March 18-20, 1993 to addresses the escalating humanitarian crises in Africa, characterized by armed conflicts, natural disasters, famine, and massive displacement of populations, leading to millions of refugees and internally displaced persons.
