Abstract

The 1992 Dakar International Conference on Assistance to African Children, organized by the OAU in partnership with UNICEF, focused on revitalizing efforts to improve the well-being of Africa’s children amid economic and social challenges. Building on commitments from the 1991 World Summit for Children, the conference aimed to foster dialogue among African nations, donor communities, NGOs, and international organizations to mobilize resources and develop effective National Programmes of Action (NPAs)
