Report of the Fourth Ordinary Session of the Committee on Conferences

Abstract

The OAU committee on conferences, reviewed and critiqued the organization meeting schedule for 1992-1993. The committee expressed concerns about a lack of detailed information regarding canceled or postponed meetings, the use of allocated funds, and the overall feasibility of the two-year calendar. In view of the above,the committee approved a new schedule for 1994-1996 and proposed changes to the organization of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government to encourage more substantive discussions.
