This report summarizes the proceedings of the Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD), held in Tokyo, Japan, from October 5-6, 1993. Attended by 48 African countries, 13 donor nations, and numerous international organizations, the conference aimed to reassert the importance of African development on the global agenda in the post-Cold War era.
