Report of the Joint Sitting of the Sub-Committee on General Supervision and Coordination on Budgetary, Financial and Administrative Matters (GSCBFAM) and the Technical Experts of the Committee of Fifteen Finance Ministers (F15)

Abstract

This report summarizes the joint virtual sittings of the PRC Sub-Committee on General Supervision and Coordination on Budgetary, Financial and Administrative Matters (GSCBFAM) and the Committee of Fifteen Finance Ministers (F15), held on May 14-15 and June 11, 2025. The meetings, chaired by H.E. Ambassador George Orina of Kenya, addressed critical financial and administrative issues of the African Union (AU). Key discussion points included urgent budget requests for the Mpox outbreak response, a special infrastructure project for the rehabilitation of AU properties, salary review updates, and the operational budget shortfalls of various AU organs.
