This report summarizes the proceedings and outcomes of the 9th Session of the Scientific Council for Africa (CSA), held in Addis Ababa from August 8-12, 1994. The meeting, convened by the Secretary-General of the Organization of African Unity (OAU), aimed to define new directions for the OAU's scientific policy within the framework of the recently established African Economic Community.
