The proposal to have Africa House in Paris, France presented by Senegal to the Organization of African Unity (OAU) in 1995 with aim to establish a dynamic cultural, scientific, and economic hub to foster a positive and accurate image of Africa in Europe. The Africa House is envisioned as a place of cultural exchange, economic cooperation, and scientific collaboration between Africa and Europe, moving beyond historical narratives to focus on contemporary African achievements, trade, and development initiatives.
