Report of the Commission on the Election of Two Commissioners of the African Union Commission

Abstract

This report outlines the legal framework, procedures, and progress related to the election of two outstanding Commissioners of the African Union Commission: the Commissioner for Economic Development, Trade, Tourism, Industry and Minerals (ETTIM), and the Commissioner for Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (ESTI). Following the postponement of the elections during the February and April 2025 sessions, the Executive Council scheduled the elections for its 47th Ordinary Session in July 2025.
