The draft declaration of the 7th mid-year coordination meeting of the African Union (AU), Regional Economic Communities (RECs), and Regional Mechanisms (RMs) reaffirms the collective commitment of African leaders to deepen continental integration and accelerate the implementation of Agenda 2063. Convened under the chairmanship of H.E. João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço, the meeting reviewed progress on regional integration, acknowledged challenges such as protectionism, debt burdens, and digital infrastructure gaps.
