O.A.U. emblem

Abstract

The General Secretariat of the Organization of African Unity appeals to African artists to submit sketches of emblem for the Organization of African Unity. The emblem should be as much a symbol of Africa's past as it would be of the aspirations of its people as enshrined in the Charter of the Organization of African Unity. It should also be of such a nature as to be used in identifying documents and property of the Organization.
