Report of the Joint Commissions on the Headquarters Building of the Organization of African Unity

Abstract

Report of the Joint Commissions on the Headquarters Building of the Organization of African Unity examined documents presented by the General Secretariat dealing with the subject matter of the Headquarters building and found out that the documents submitted did not provide sufficient information to carry out the duties assigned to them by the Council of Ministers. The Commissions requested the Council of Ministers to establish accommodation requirements of the General Secretariat and to make assessments of the financial resources. They also made recommendations on the competition by African architects, selection of the architect, selection of firms to be invited to tender, examination of tenders and technical assistance to the General Secretariat.
