Declaration of the Specialized Technical Committee on Defense, Safety and Security, Cairo, Egypt, 15-19 December 2019

Abstract

Report of the members of the Specialized Technical Committee on Defense, Safety and Security (STCDSS) of the African Union (AU ) that met at its 12th meeting in Cairo, Egypt and considered the Conclusions of the African Chiefs of Defense Staff and Heads of Safety and Security (ACDSS). This meeting, that was preceded by the 15th Meeting of the ACDSS, held from 18 December 2019, and a Meeting of Experts held from 15 to 17 December 2019, decided on the implementation of the AU flagship project on “Silencing the Guns in Africa by 2020” and implementation of the African Union Master Roadmap (AUMR) of Practical Steps to Silence the Guns in Africa.
