Report of a retreat that was decided on at the July 2019 Executive Council decision. The primary
objectives of the retreat were: To take stock of the operationalization of the Fund; and to discuss the
medium term strategic funding priorities of the AU Peace Fund. Also discussed are key challenges regarding the management of the AU Peace Fund arising from the lessons learned from the management of AU Special Funds.
