Progress Report on the Preparations for the 50th Anniversary of the OAU/AU

Abstract

This report attempts to elaborate on the achievements and challenges of the OAU/AU for the past 50 years of its existence and its prospects for the future. The report further expresses the quest of the African leaders to celebrate Golden Jubilee of OAU/AU through the promotion of Pan Africanism and African Renaissance by honouring the founding fathers of this continental body through celebrations at national, regional and continental levels as well as in the Diaspora.
