dc.description.abstractThis is a report by the Secretary-General on the proceedings of the regional seminar on the International Year of Disabled Persons (IYDP) which was held in Addis Ababa, from 6-7 October 1980, to consider the most effective ways of attaining the objectives of the year, ensuring observance of the principles of the Declaration of the Rights of Disabled Persons and of the Declaration on the Rights of Mentally Retarded Persons and to contribute to the drafting of a long-term programme of action.en
