This is a report by the Secretary-General on the proceedings of the Symposium on Endemic Goitre in Africa, held in Addis Ababa on 13 October 1980, to discuss the medical importance of the problem of endemic goitre in Africa, both in the area of morbidity of the disease and its complications on the people of Africa.
