This is a report by the Secretary-General on the special session of the United Nations General Assembly on the assessment of the progress made in the establishment of the New International Economic Order and the appropriate actions to be taken to promote the development of developing countries and international economic cooperation, after the Assembly of the OAU Heads of State and Government passed a resolution on African Participation in International Negotiations, at its Second Extraordinary Session held in Lagos, Nigeria on 28th and 29th April 1980
