Abstract

The Applicants allege violation of the following rights: i. The right to liberty and security of the person, protected by Article 6 of the Charter; ii. The right to have their cause heard, protected by Article 7(1)(a)(b)(c) and (d) of the Charter and Articles 8 and 10 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights; iii. The right not to be convicted for an act or omission which was not a legally punishable offence at the time it was committed, protected by Article 7(2) of the Charter.
