Abstract

This report discusses the Third African Telecommunications Conference held in Monrovia, Liberia from 8-19 December 1980 to review the progress made on the implementation of the PANAFTEL network, the progress of the on-going activities of the First Phase of the communications sector programmes of the United Nations Transport and Communications Decade in Africa, and defining the objectives, targets, and strategies for the development of telecommunications during the Second Phase of the Decade from 1984 - 1988
