The Joint Colloquium on Realising Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights in Africa, focusing on the Right to Education, will be held on October 21-22, 2024, in Banjul, The Gambia. The event aims to address challenges and share best practices related to ESCR, particularly for marginalized groups. It will involve various stakeholders and feature keynote addresses, paper presentations, and thematic sessions. The goal is to increase awareness, foster collaboration, and promote inclusive education. Expected outcomes include establishing ESCR as a regular agenda item at ACHPR sessions and identifying needs for technical assistance and partnerships. The colloquium will be conducted in multiple languages.
