Judgment in Application No. 009/2020- XYZ v. Republic of Benin

Abstract

The Applicant alleges violation of the following rights and obligations: i. Violation of the right to life guaranteed by Article 4 of the Charter; ii. Violation of the right to dignity inherent in a human being guaranteed by Article 5 of the Charter; iii. Violation of the right to have one’s cause heard guaranteed by Article 7 of the Charter; iv. Violation of the obligation to recognise the rights, duties and freedoms enshrined in the Charter and to adopt legislative or other measures to give them effect, provided for under Article 1 of the Charter.
